Resumption of Schools in Akwa Ibom State For 1st Term 2023 Fresh Session.
AKWA IBOM GOVERNMENT FIXES DATE FOR RESUMPTION 2023.
All Public/Private Primary and Secondary Schools in the State will resume for Fresh First term on Monday 11th September, 2023, for the 2023/2024 academic session.
On this note, Parents and Guardians are advised to make sure their Children and Wards return to school, while providing them with the required educational materials to make learning visible as academic activities will begin in Earnest.
Heads of schools are expected to have resumed at least 3 working days to resumption date, for a pre- resumption meeting with their Staff to further prepare for the success of the term, as directed by the State Government.
Managements of Schools and teachers are hereby implored to be diligent in discharging their duties and to complete their scheduled curriculum for the term, Government will not also condone lateness on the part of Teachers and Students, as loitering around the streets and school premises will not be tolerated.
The Ministry of Education and the Education Management Committee on behalf on the State Government, wishes all Pupils, Students and Teachers a happy new year and a successful academic session.

The Akwa Ibom State University will commence the processes of resumption on 4th January, 2022.
College of Education, Afaha Nsit
College of Education, Afaha Nsit, is to reopen on 6 January, 2022.
Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua
Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua will resume on 3 January, 2022.
University of Uyo (UNIUYO)
The University of uyo (UNIUYO) Resumption date is on the 3th of January 2022, Full academic activities will commence on 10th of January 2022.
NOTE:
The reopening of schools in the state is strictly on COVID-19 guidelines protocol.

Pls I had seen on NTA UYO that primary 1-5 resumption but no primary 6.
Primary 6 is not included because is part of the exit class.
Primary 6 students are to prepare for the upcoming common entrance exams
