Ex-Man Utd manager, Solskjaer offered coaching job: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the former manager of Manchester United, has acknowledged that he has been given the chance to manage again for the first time since being let go by the Red Devils.

Solskjaer has been out of job since Manchester United fired him over two years ago.
Since then, the Norwegian has been tied to very few managerial positions. The 50-year-old did, however, emerge as a surprising candidate to take over at Leicester City over the summer, but in the end, former Manchester City assistant coach Enzo Maresca was appointed.
Solskjaer was also said to have been offered the job of coaching Norway’s women’s national football team. The job has been vacant since Norway was eliminated early from the 2023 Women’s World Cup this summer.
However, Solskjaer has now stated that he has previously turned down the opportunity to manage the team.

Speaking to Norwegian outlet NRK, Solskjaer said: “Yes, I have spoken to the association about the job as national coach – of course I have it. “They have asked. But I am not ready for that yet.”
Solskjaer made 67 caps for Norway men’s national team during his playing career, scoring 23 goals.
