MAN Oron Post UTME Form
The Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron, invites all the candidates who selected Academy as their institution of First Choice and have scored the specified cut-off marks to attend the Post JAMB UTME screening exercise for National Diploma programmes as stated below.
MAN Post UTME Eligibility.
Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.
Applicants are required to possess the following:
- A minimum of 175 marks in the 2023/2024 UTME for:
- Nautical Science
- Marine Engineering and
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- A minimum of 160 marks in the 2023/2024 UTME for Maritime Transport and Business Studies.
- A minimum of five (5) credit passes in Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS in relevant subjects.
- Applicant MUST have the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.
MAN Post UTME Admission Requirements.
Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent and JAMB subject Combination
- Nautical Science:
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:- English Language
- Mathematics
- Geography
- Physics and any other relevant Science subjects obtained at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
UTME Subject Combination: - English Language
- Mathematics
- Geography
- Physics
- Marine Engineering
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
UTME Subject Combination: - English Language
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
UTME Subject Combination: - English Language
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Maritime Transport and Business Studies
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics/Commerce and any two relevant subjects from Government, Principles of Account.
UTME Subject Combination: - English Language

- Commerce/Government/ Principles of Account
Physical and Medical Fitness:
- Due to the peculiar requirements of the Institution and the maritime industry as well as International Convention on Standard of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) 95 as amended in 2010 which mandates all seafarer to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigours/challenges of the cadetship training.
- Candidate must undergo some medical test at any Government Hospital and upload their medical status on the application portal. The list of medical tests can be found on the application portal dashboard.
- Candidate should print-out Application Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal. This form should be duly completed and signed before upload on the portal.
Marital Status:
- Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.
Age Limit for Each Programme
- Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as at 20th November 2022.
- Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as at as at 20th November 2022.
How to Apply for MAN Post UTME Screening.
Screening Fee: N2,000.00.
Eligible candidate should log on to the Academy website www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng and take the following steps:
- Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
- Login with UTME number as Username and Jamb Score as Password
- Generate and Print the Payment Slip
- Proceed to any of the banks listed on the application portal dashboard to make payment using eTranzact Payment Platform or pay online
- Return to the Academy Portal to Complete the registration Form.

- Candidate with incomplete registration will be automatically disqualify
