NECO Result Checker: This is to inform all candidates that sat for the 2022 SSCE External Examination that the results have been released. You can check your results on result.neco.gov.ng.

The management of the National Examination Council (NECO) has released it’s 2022 May/June results, Candidate can now check their result online below.

How To Check NECO Results 2022 Nov/Dec

  1. Go to NECO result checking portal at  https://result.neco.gov.ng/.
  2. Pick your exam year. i.e. 2022
  3. Pick your exam type. i.e. SSCE INTERNAL (JUN/JUL)
  4. Enter your Token Number and registration number in the appropriate columns.
  5. Finally, click on check result button to access your NECO result.

The new Results online system offers a convenient way to check all NECO examination results. Once results are released, it will be made available via NECO Results  system (www.result.neco.gov.ng).

Note: Using NECO Results, candidates can check their SSCE, BECE and NCEE results by purchasing tokens. The token(s) can be shared with candidates, parents, schools, organizations or any person who wished to view the candidate’s results.

NECO May/June Result

The National Examinations Council is an examination body in Nigeria that conducts the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and the General Certificate in Education in June/July and November/December respectively. NECO was created by former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar in April 1999. It was the first Federal organization to offer subsidized registration to academic candidates in Nigeria.

Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (internal and external)

Nigeria offers six years of basic education, three years of junior secondary education, three years of senior secondary education, and four years of tertiary education. Mathematics and English language are compulsory though Mathematics may not be required for some courses in higher institutions.

Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE)

Junior Secondary Certificate exams are intended for candidates in the 3rd year of their junior secondary education in Federal Unity College and other Federal secondary schools. Private secondary schools also take part in JSCE. In state secondary schools, JSCE examinations are conducted by the state government.

National Common Entrance Examination

The National Common Entrance Examination is administered to pupils in their 6th year of basic education for admission into Federal Unity Colleges. Two examinations are held annually.

On 15 July 2013, some plans were made by the federal government of Nigeria to remove the National Examination Council (NECO) From the Nigeria Education System due to low and average passing percentage from candidates across the state in Nigeria.

The National Common Entrance Examination Questions consist of the following:


Part A – Mathematics and General Science Part B – English and Social Studies


Part A – Quantitative and Vocational Aptitude Part B – Verbal Aptitude
