Admission Procedure
- All children desiring to attend SICS must go through admission processes. Admission into SICS is contingent upon several criteria:
- Purchase of application forms
- Parents’ interview
- Submission of completed Applications Form
- Applicant passing an entrance exam and interview
- Availability in the target class level
- Final acceptance by SICS Board of Governors Entrance test scores, previous school records and interviews will be used to determine the prospective student’s individual ability level. Mode of Testing The applicants for Pre-Nursery-1 to primary-3 are tested on various skills necessary for admission into their respective classes. While standardized testing is administered to applicants applying for higher classes. Admission is at the school’s discretion and the school’s decision is final. However, unsuccessful applicants may apply again at a later date if they believe they will perform better at the entrance examinations. The school’s objective is not to arbitrarily exclude children but rather to select the most suitable applicants based on the school’s assessment criteria including the prospective child’s academic performance and potential. Only if a candidate fails to show basic understanding, or shows a lack of potential will they be refused admission. You can Enrol online or download offline enrolment form. Offline Admission Procedure
- Walk into any of the campuses and pay a non-refundable form fee of N2,500 (two thousand, five hundred naira) which covers the application form, as well as all admissions processing and testing materials.
- After filling out the application form, parents must return
the form to the Admissions Secretary, on the designated date given,
with the following documents attached to it:
- One current coloured passport pictures (2″ x 2″ on a white background)
- Applicant’s original birth certificate,
- Applicant’s original Local Government of Origin certificate,
- Applicant’s recent Academic Report from candidate’s current school,
- Applicant’s Testimonial from current Head of school
- When you hand in your completed form, you may book your parental interview. They are being held 12th-23rd September 2017 through the Admissions Secretary, in person, by email or by telephone.
- Application forms and the required documents are due to be returned to the office by 12th October 2017
- Once all the required documents are in order and the parental interview has taken place, parents will receive an official letter inviting applicants to sit for the entrance exams. All details will be in the official letter.
