SPW Disbursement Date: The Federal Government through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment has announce disbursement date for all Special Public Works Programme (SPW) applicant/ candidate for all the state in Nigeria.
Following the extension of the Special Public Works (SPW) programme by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, also disclose a date for the disbursement of SPW Grants.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, disclosed this in Nasarawa State, yesterday, at the opening of a three-day training/meeting of zonal directors and state coordinators of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
The SPW programme targets the employment of 774,000 people: 1000 from each of the country’s 774 local government areas.
Keyamo said President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Directorate to develop a blueprint for the second phase of the programme.
SPW Payment Method on Disbursement
The Special Public Works (SPW) Programme will make payment through bank direct transfer from CBN-Nirsal to different approved deposit money banks (commercial banks) to all verified registered person’s that have received text message from SPW.
How Much is SPW Grant / Loan Payment
Special Public Works (SPW) programme through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will pay each person 20,000.00 naira per month, for three month duration.
When will SPW Start Disbursement
According to the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, “disbursement will commence from 23rd August 2021 to 9th September 2021, for the first and second batch of all verified applicants who have open an account with the assign banks.

Federal Minister Keyamo said the involvement of Christian and Islamic organisations, non-governmental organisations, market and professional groups was aimed at safeguarding the credibility of the initiative and ensure it reaches the real vulnerable groups in the society. At such there are the eligible people to benefit in the scheme.
He said: “The vulnerable people are found in churches, mosques, markets, civil society, and labour groups were part of the committee that chose the beneficiaries.”
