Was the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Suspended?
President Bola Tinubu suspended Godwin Emefiele as Central Bank Governor with immediate effect on June 9, 2023, according to a statement issued by Mr. Willie Bassey from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
