Since the late 1960s, Bihar has been plagued by a bad administration. The state governments have never paid any attention to the state’s development. When Lalu Prasad Yadav came to power in 1990, the people suffered for the following 15 years in terms of development and law and order. In fact, many young generations were involved in crime as a result of poor administration, which persisted until the 1990s and peaked under RJD control. However, many critical challenges and other factors have improved during Nitish’s governance.
Caste-based politics. In Bihar, all political parties are caste-based, and national parties rely on the majority of castes’ support to secure votes. These political parties have never considered the state’s growth or other tasks.
Overpopulation is one of the key causes; Bihar is one of India’s most populous states, with 33.74 percent of the population living under poverty and 52.5 percent suffering from multi-dimensional poverty thus overpopulation promotes unemployment and illiteracy.

Bihar’s law and order is a major concern, as many famous criminals are involved in politics and have political connections that affect its status and development.
Bihar’s academic efficiency and low literacy rate are both deplorable. Furthermore, only 50.65 people out of every 100 use cell phones. Just 39.99 percent of individuals use the internet in this state. Hospitals are in poor condition, agricultural & farming activities are unorganized, there is garbage and rubbish littered everywhere. Unemployment, corruption in all government departments, growing population, education, the Health Index are all of these factors that lead to Bihar’s status backward state.
Why some part of Uttar Pradesh is still very backwarded?

But, one positive thing about the present situation is that since Nitish Kumar and Yogi came to power, law and order in both states have significantly improved and it is hoped that both states would be renowned as safe and well-developed states in India very soon.
