This is to inform all the students of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) that the management has published the names of students that have been offered hostel accommodation in the polytechnic for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Successful applicants are to login to student portal to pay for the allocated hostels.
How to Check YABATECH Hostel Accommodation List.
- Go to http://portal.yabatech.edu.ng/portal
- Click on the Students Portal Button
- Enter your MATRIC Number and PASSWORD
- Click on the SIGN IN button to check your YABATECH hostel allocation status.
All successful applicants whose names appear on the e-balloting list are therefore advised to commence payment for the allocated hostels or they stand to forfeit their bed spaces to those on the waiting list.
Students are once again reminded to familiarize themselves with the rules and regulations guiding their conduct in the hostel as conspicuously displayed in the halls of residence.
YABATECH Hostel Accommodation for Part Time Students
To apply for hostel accommodation, interested students must pay a processing fee of N10,000 Naira (N1,000 for the application fee and N9,000 for the hostel fee). The application process is simple and straightforward. Applicants should visit the Yabatech College website at www.yabatech.edu.ng and follow the provided instructions to complete their payment and secure their accommodation.
It’s essential for students to note that sleeping in classrooms, churches, mosques, or any other unauthorized locations within the College environment during the examination period will not be allowed. Violators of this policy will face sanctions in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Students’ Handbook. By offering hostel accommodation, Yabatech aims to provide a comfortable and conducive environment for part-time students to focus on their examinations and achieve academic success.

Yaba College of Technology, popularly known as YABATECH, was founded in 1947, and is Nigeria’s first higher educational institution. It is located in Yaba, Lagos. It has a student enrollment of over 16,000.
Yaba College of Technology was established in 1947 as a successor of Yaba Higher College. It attained autonomous status in 1969 by virtue of Decree 23 which granted it the mandate to provide full-time and part-time courses of instruction and training in technology, applied science, commerce and management, agricultural production and distribution; and for research.
Yaba College of Technology is the first higher institution in Nigeria to establish a Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, with linkages with the world of commerce and industry. The centre offers compulsory courses which must be taken by all students throughout their stay in the college.
